A Brief Bio of the Editor

Christina Harmon received degrees in organ from Oberlin College and Southern Methodist University, and has completed a doctoral residency in organ at the University of North Texas. She has also studied at the Mozarteum Conservatory in Salzburg, Austria and at Union Theological Seminary in New York City. She has studied with several noted organists, including Robert Anderson, Robert Baker, Dale Peters, Guy Bovet, and Jean Langlais.

She has been awarded teaching fellowships in organ and theory at Southern Methodist University and at North Texas State University, and is a member of Pi Kappa Lambda, the honorary music society. Her past teaching experience includes teaching organ and theory at San Jacinto College in Pasadena, Texas and teaching organ at Eastfield and Dallas. Currently she teaches organ at Eastfield and Richland Colleges in Dallas, Texas and is organist at Park Cities Baptist Church.

For many years Christina Harmon has given concerts in churches in the United States and in Europe. Other accomplishments include directing an organ study program in France for the last six years and serving as Chariman of the Board for the Dallas Philosphers’ Forum. In addition, she is a composer and has many published compositions to her credit.
